One of the best parts of living in Ottawa is that whenever family or friends visit, I have a multitude of sightseeing options to offer. Through this, I also tend to come across unique events I previously wasn’t aware of. Such is the case for Pumpkinferno.
My cousin Leah tied the knot early last month, but before she did, we had a girls’ getaway bachelorette weekend in Blue Mountain. I had heard a lot about Blue Mountain – it’s a particularly popular skiing destination in the winter – but had never been before. To my delight, Blue Mountain did not disappoint.
Before I get into this post fully, it’s time to briefly mention the big life change I made for myself in 2012. After finishing university in 2011, I moved back home for a year to save up money. Shortly after moving back, Brit and I began talking about the possibility of moving somewhere and living together. After discussing options, we chose Ottawa. It was because of this decision that my trip to Niagara Falls even ended up being possible, so here’s the story….
I can’t say for sure when I began to seek out more thrilling adventures, but at some point that switch was flipped on inside me. I remember searching for fun things to do in my small home town for Carly & T’s visit and coming across Treetop Adventures, a few hours of safe but exciting climbing through trees and zooming down zip lines.
