By far, one of my favourite aspects of Ottawa is that there is always something new and exciting to show visitors (or locals!). When my mom came to visit in July, we knew most of the trip would be dedicated to family time and Canada Day celebrations. Still, for her last day in Ottawa, we crossed the bridge into Gatineau, Quebec to see a limited time event – MosaïCanada.
Five years ago, I took a somewhat risky chance in life – without having any sort of job lined up, I moved to a city I’d never even visited. That risk paid off tenfold as I fell head over heels in love with Ottawa and the life I built there.
Around this time last year, my cousin Taylor came to visit and we trekked over to Gatineau Park to hike the Pink Lake trail. With my sister coming to visit for the May long weekend this year, I knew we needed to hike a different trail in Gatineau Park. Luckily, she was up for it.
